Hanover, Germany, July 2016. Tyre brand General Tire believes in fostering personal dialogue and networking among its importers. With this in mind, Matthias Bartz, Business Development Manager General Tire, invited them to a two-day event at the Mövenpick Hotel in Munich at the end of April. A total of 25 tyre importers from more than 20 countries took up the invitation and reported on their own marketing and sponsorship activities on behalf of the American brand, and on their activities to mark the General Tire centenary in 2015.

“We’re keen to foster networking between our customers in order to continuously raise the level of brand awareness and promote the exchange of ideas,” explained Bartz. “Sure, not every approach fits every country, but this group of participants has come up with a lot of new ideas that we will be able to successfully apply as marketing measures for our brand.”
The feedback from the importers who attended the event was very positive: “The quality of the presentations was exceptional,” wrote Niall Murray from Tracta Motors in Dublin, Ireland. “Some wonderful ideas were presented and it was very worthwhile to be a participant.” General Tire sees this event as a highly successful and effective means of generating and communicating innovative marketing ideas.
